Beautiful? Old? Or actually ugly? Shy …? Aggressive? Attractively seductive? Cool and aloof! Timidly doubting and captivatingly strong. A woman and a man. Silvia Calderoni is everything at same time. An exceptional performer, looking for people like her. — She is the enigmatic protagonist of MDLSX, the latest production from Motus, one of the most innovative theatre companies in Italy and winner of numerous international prizes. With beguiling charm and impressive chutzpah, Calderoni combines autobiographical material with literary fragments from texts by Judith Butler, Donna Harraway and Paul B. Preciado. She becomes a gigantic, laconic artificial figure that explodes the definitions of bodies, skin colour, nationality and gender. A hymn to freedom and a new narration of her own identity with exquisitely moving tenderness and fragility.
