In 2013, Italian artist Romeo Castellucci was given an award for his life’s work by the Venice Biennale. The Parthenon Metopes is a sophisticated game with art and reality addressing the great questions of humanity: Where do we come from? Where are we going? In the beginning, there is a moment of horror. There has been an accident, or to put it better: an incident. Seconds extend into eternity, until help suddenly arrives. We are transported into a parallel world in order to take a look at our own world.
